As a dedicated clinician with over 10 years of experience, I am passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their therapy goals and increase their participation within the community.
I work with both paediatric and adult clients, specialising in behaviour management, paediatric feeding/dysphagia, and Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC). My areas of expertise include nonverbal communication, language, speech, social communication, and fluency. I am also able to support all areas of communication.
I am here to provide personalized and compassionate care, supporting families and individuals in accessing their community and enhancing their ability to communicate their wants and needs. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to work with you as we navigate this journey together.
Areas of Professional Expertise .
Amber holds a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology and has extensive training in various specialised areas. She is proficient in audiometry, paediatric feeding, and Fibre Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Her expertise includes managing gastrointestinal disorders and their effects on paediatric feeding, as well as implementing The Hanen 'It Takes Two To Talk' and 'More Than Words' programs for children with language delays. Amber is skilled in Key Word Sign, PROMPT therapy, and the SOS approach to feeding, which targets problematic feeding behaviors in children. Additionally, she is experienced in augmentative and alternative communication methods and positive behavior support. Amber has worked with specific programs such as PECS, a non-verbal form of communication aimed at improving speech acquisition; The Lidcombe Program, an evidence-based program for children who stutter; and The Camperdown Program, an evidence-based program for adults who stutter.
Telehealth
Amber excels in delivering high-quality online therapy through Telehealth (Telepractice), providing a convenient solution for families who might otherwise struggle to access therapy or prefer a no-travel option. This approach ensures that therapy is readily accessible, regardless of geographical constraints, enhancing flexibility and convenience for her clients.

Amber provides high-quality therapy services to families in the West Brisbane region. Offering therapy at home, school, daycare, supported independent living facilities, or wherever life happens.
